Built
into the hillside facing beautiful Shirley Canyon and the world famous peaks of
Squaw Valley USA, our magnificent Challenge Ropes Course offers your group unparalleled
team-building opportunities. The course is a great tool for energizing groups
and constructing and improving bonds between participants.
The Squaw Valley Adventure
Center's ropes course is one of the largest ropes courses in California,
and is unique for being able to offer team events "up high"
- incorporating the high elements, whereas at most ropes courses,
the high elements only involve individuals. Each
participant chooses their own level of activity in a supportive
and encouraging atmosphere - without pressure.

LOW
ELEMENTS
The low elements
of a ropes course are ideal for stimulating group discussion, cooperation,
and connections between participants. Low elements are performed
on or near the ground and present fun and interesting situations
for the group. Confidence, trust, and personal bonds grow as the
group can only succeed through collective effort and participation.
HIGH
ELEMENTS
The high elements
of a ropes course provide for an even greater challenge. Individuals
have the chance to push themselves, often beyond their confort zones,
therefore enabling personal learning and feelings of accomplishment.
This learning, when applied to other areas of a person's life, can
affect positive change. We teach and permit participants to handle
the belay, or safety system for each other and as a result cultivate
trust and responsibility, which are integral components of team/relationship
building.
