Ropes Course
Built into the hillside facing beautiful Shirley Canyon and the world famous peaks of Squaw Valley USA, our magnificent Ropes Course offers your group unparalleled teambuilding opportunities. The course can be a great tool for energizing groups and constructing and improving bonds between participants.
Reserve space at the ropes course now! Comprising of almost 20 different high elements, the Squaw Valley Adventure Center’s Ropes Course is one of the largest ropes courses in California, and is unique for being able to offer team events “up high”- incorporating the high elements.
The Ropes Course provides an opportunity for participants to push past their own comfort zones and to enter a region often referred to as the growth zone. When conducted in a supportive environment, self-awareness, personal learning, and feelings of accomplishment are typical results. Upon reflection and processing, this learning, when applied to other areas of a participant’s life, can result in positive change. We teach and permit participants to handle the belay, or safety system for each other and as a result cultivate trust and responsibility, which are integral components of team/relationship building.
During the summer months the Ropes Course is open daily for use by adventurous individuals, families, and small groups interested in climbing a variety of high elements.
